Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

It was a great day for fishing yesterday. it was near 60 and sunny with light winds. Same for today. I fished from 3 to 5 Pm and caught my limit of keeper bass and several nice crappie. I would go 30-minutes without a bite and then they would suddenly turn on for about 5-minutes and stop again. All fish went in the pond. The surface temperature is still 45 and the level is hanging in there at 546.45 with no generation except for the worthless minimum flow. The bass were at the bottom at 25-feet and caught on the spoon and the crappie were about 8-feet down over brush on slip float. It was very pleasant but cooled down rapidly at 5-PM.  No big fish but not so many small ones as earlier. There are some nice crappie out there. I was fishing close to Blackburns cove and saw several boats go by but none near me fishing.  I like that. We will see what today brings. It is to cool down again Monday. You can see your lure down about 4-feet on the main lake on rocky banks and less on dirt ones. No shad kill.
