Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

It was windy. Bad hair day. Image title

The lake is still dropping and is at 550.77 and they are running two generators now. We are having rollercoaster temperatures with highs near 70 one day and in the 40's the next. It is very dry and there is a burn ban on. The lake is in good condition. I went out yesterday looking for walleye and could only catch white bass which do not count and started looking for bass again. I found them a little after 4:Pm and caught several good ones on the grub until dark. Crappie fishing, which had been good for me for several weeks, has slowed and I will have to change my tactics. They might be moving shallow in the evenings. There is a lot more cover and dead logs near the shore than before caused by the flood.  We will find out. The bass are. It sure cools down fast at sunset. Stripers are in the back of float creek and by point 1-D in Bennets with some hybrids.  I will stick to walleye, bass and crappie for now.
