Norfork Lake Conditions and fishing report By Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental Near Mountain Home (click here for comments)

The lake surface temperature was 63 when I went out last evening. The lake level is 552.66 and is stable with very little generation. The clarity seems to change from day to day. One day you can see your lure down 5-6 feet and the next only a couple of feet. The larger bass are moving to the banks in 8-12 feet of water and should stay there for a while. I caught my limit of a mixed variety along with some bluegill and warmouth all on the grub.  The crappie are getting harder to catch and are moving in shallower but are in the same general locations. I have not been striper fishing but Bink is catching several back in the creeks in 35-40 ft. of water on spoons in the early morning. The weather has been comfortable but we are very dry. You can save about $200/week for a two bedroom cabin and get a free boat stall when you stay at Blackburns. Come on down.
