The lake level is 566.43 and they have quit generating.  Looks like they want to drag out the lowering.  This is unbelievable. The rise started in April and this is August. The rules of dam management need to be reviewed badly. The water is clearing slowly on the main lake but not much in the creeks. Fishing is picking up for bass, crappie and walleye and some brush piles are coming into play. Stripers are on the bottom with a few walleye at 60 feet and many other fish are at 20-feet on main lake points. Walleye are being caught everywhere but many are too short. I suspect their number in total are large with very few taken by divers. Smallmouth bass are showing up but many ot those are short too. If they ever drop the lake to at least 560 the November fishing will be very good.  A lot of shad are in the creeks and they are about 3-4 inches long and small white bass are with them.
