The lake level just hit 566.99. About time. They would keep Newport at 12-feet no matter what. The rules need to be changed. Lucky the big rain in Missouri did not effect us this time. I bet they get the campgrounds open just in time for winter to close them. We need more government. The lake is in good shape and Game and fish are cleaning and reinstalling courtesy ramps at launches. These guys are not afraid to get out of their trucks and work. My compliments. Many campgrounds are to remain closed until September30th. Resorts have full service. Striper fishing: Go to thumb point and use a Binks jigging spoon on the bottom at 50-60 feet. Many fish are at 18-20 feet near Cranfield.
