Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

The lake level is 572.85 and is dropping about 2-inches a day. It is hot and getting dry again. Good for boating and swimming both off boats and in our big pool. There were a lot of boats out there by big E and between the bridges. The most I have seen all year. The lake is in excellent condition. The level at Newport is just above 12-feet and maybe they will quit holding back the water for a while. You would think they would be needing electricity. The lows are about 70 so the best time to fish is very early  and after dark for bass with a black light. Bluegill fishing is excellent with crickets and catfishing on limb lines and jugs is fair. Bink is spooning up stripers and hybrids early with a few walleye. Evening boating feels very good.
