Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

The lake level is 574.18 and dropping very slowly with generation less than 1/2 the time. The level at Newport is 12+ feet and there is no reason to hold anymore. The lake is in excellent condition except it is too high for day use and much camping availability. Just a few feet drop would really help at this stage. Catfishing is good on trotlines in the backs of the creeks and blugill have come back under our dock. Big ones too. Some red meat fish can be caught early and late and white bass are in Blackburns Cove. Walleye are being caught regularly around the islands. Swimming and boating are excellent with beautiful weather. Surface temperature is in the early 80's. Water is blue except for the backs of some creeks.
