Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

Lake level at newport is 13.98. Let some water out boys. Government. You gotta love em. There is absolutey no reason to punish the day users and campers in the area lakes by holding any longer. It has been two months and we have had almost no rain. The slug moved through the rivers weeks ago. All area lakes are in the same dilemma. Resorts have lake and dock access and boating, swimming and fishing  but the public areas are lacking. I do not want to gain from other's problems. You would think if you were managing campgrounds and also managing water release you would at least try to reach a happy medium instead of failing at both. Norfork lake is clear and blue but did it entirely on it's own. There needs to be a review of dam management and not just protect Branson and the Delta planting at all costs. If I lived on Beaver Lake I would be more than outraged. The dams were initially put in for flood control but the minimum flow for the put and take trout changed all of that. Wow. I am out of breath.
