Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

They have cut way back on generation and the lake just went down 1-inch in the last 24-hours.  I was afraid that would happen. The lake is clearing nicely and the clarity is not a factor in fishing. The fish are biting but it is hard to get them out of the trees.  The creeks in this part of the lake are slow clearing and are the color of lakes in Northwest Ontario.  Fish points part way into creeks with a spinner bait for bass and walleye and live bait for everything else.  Look for shad flipping around in the brush and submerged trees. They have plenty of cover. I am using a long pole baited with a shiner and poking it back in the trees where the shad are coming up. The thermocline is forming and a lot of fish will be in the 20-ft. depth level and shallower. Boating and swimming are good.off docks and off boats in deeper water. Swimming and fishing off the bank not so good. Weather is wonderfull.
