Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

We are having more than a week coming up of beautiful weather. Highs 80's lows 60. People are boating, fishing, swimming in the lake and pool and in general having a good time. The grass and the gardens are growing at an unbelieveable rate. We have been getting rain just about everytime we need it. The lake level has dropped to 575.60 and is dropping about two inches a day. They did stop generating for a few hours yesterday and I was not glad to see that but did expect it. All spillway gates are now closed on all dams in the area and the lakes are about 5-feet from top of flood pool. Every one except Beaver Lake is out of danger for a while but they are bent on getting the level down at Newport no matter what while protecting Branson. Most resorts are least effected with campgrounds and day use areas being the most. Things are fine here at Blackburns except you have to go to Cranfield or Panther bay to launch and drive your boat to our dock. Many resorts do not have launches at their place anyway. We have plenty of parking for your trailer. The kids will love our big pool with slide and baby pool and the parents will love our prices on both cabins and boat rentals. Big, geen, flat payground with lots of room for your pets and very close to all services.
