We have received 2.7 inches of rain total for this week end but the lake has not risen very much with both generators running most of the time and the level is 577.51. The creeks are running a bit but not heavily. Do not count on wading the rivers fishing for a long time. Camping and parking at launches is very limited. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental has no diminished services except launching and it is available at Panther bay which is close by. It is good to have a dock with a lot of stalls. Especially if you get a stall free with your cabin. Solves a lot of logistical problems. There is still a top water bite early, bass fishing near the bank on spinner baits and top water poppers and good catfishing on trotlines, limb lines and jugs drop shotted with several hooks. It is sunny now and the resort and pool are busy with people having fun and renting boats. That is what it is all about. You do not have to pay more unless you just want to.
