The lake level is 579.83 and is exactly what is was 24-hours ago. The flood gates are maintaining the level. The sun is shining and it is to do so for the next week with warm weather. The level at Newport is still at 33.2 and has been about there for a few days. This slug has to move through the Mississippi, then the Arkansas and then the White in order for Norfork to drop on it's own. It will be a while. It is not like they are planting the delta now anyway but they will lower Newport as fast as they can and hold us. Fishing will pick up after some sunny dry days. The lake will clear and launching will be the only issue. This will improve as the debri is removed from the launching areas.
