Caught these and many more this morning.
It is cloudy today but the fish continue to bite. There is still a top water bite but not every day. The most consistent bite is smallmouth bass. They are in the buckbrush and main lake river channels and are hitting both top water and creature baits. Some very nice ones are being caught and high numbers too. You can catch about anything in the buckbrush now. The lake level is 560.41 and has risen about 6-inches in the last 24-hours. I have not been crappie fishing because catching these smallmouth is so much fun. It is important to learn how to catch fish in all different conditions. Do not just rely on sight fishing for topwater fish. You will have a lot of disappointing hours of fishing. By the time the average fisherman gets out there it is over.
