It was a beautiful day here on Norfork lake Arkansas and the fish were biting. The wind was from the east and the crappie fishing was slower than normal so I wanted to post a picture of something other than 2&3 pound crappie and walleye. I did catch a big walleye on a 1/2 ounce Arkansas shiner Bink's spoon but did a quick release on it when it would not fit into my new rubber net given to me for Christmas by a very good friend after bringing it to the side of the boat for the third time. Need bigger net John (hint). I have the most unorganized boat in history but still seem to catch a few fish. I like smallmouth. They fight good. Caught my limit and they are in my friend Tom Kelly's trophy pond. Life is good. Any day in the 60's in January is a good day. It should be a sin to kill a smallmouth and Norfork Lake has a lot of them. Many 4-lbers. Blackburns not only has the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals but we feel the best place.
