Caught Fishing with Binks.Image title

The lake is dropping a bit with a partial generator running most of the time and is at 553.25 which is a very good level. The lake is clearing and is good for scuba diving. Surface temperature is 78.5 and pretty stable with the continued warm weather. There is a chance of rain tonight and we need it badly. There are crappie and walleye and a few bass on most main lake points on brush at 30-feet. I am getting them every day. Not much else happening except a few banks have some white bass. Some fish are coming up early but mostly small bass.  Open water fish are scarce and oxygen is low below 30-feet and the water is warm above 38 feet and they do not like it. A good rain will help along with cooler temperatures. I can spoon up crappie and walleye quite easily and get them spearfishing and that is all I want anyway but the boys like those stripers.
