Caught Fishing with Binks.Image title

The lake is dropping a bit with a partial generator running most of the time and is at 553.25 which is a very good level. The lake is clearing and is good for scuba diving. Surface temperature is 78.5 and pretty stable with the continued warm weather. There is a chance of rain tonight and we need it badly. There are crappie and walleye and a few bass on most main lake points on brush at 30-feet. I am getting them every day. Not much else happening except a few banks have some white bass. Some fish are coming up early but mostly small bass.  Open water fish are scarce and oxygen is low below 30-feet and the water is warm above 38 feet and they do not like it. A good rain will help along with cooler temperatures. I can spoon up crappie and walleye quite easily and get them spearfishing and that is all I want anyway but the boys like those stripers.

hey Steve, do you think the lake is going to turnover soon?

Yes. It may take several days for the process and if it is slow it will not affect fishing much. Lots of crappie are coming to the brush now. Got some good ones the last few days.
