The lake continues to rise slowly with one generator running. The whole weekend has been beautiful and people listening to the weather report and worrying about rain have wasted a good time on a beautiful lake. I guess they are worried about getting wet.  Blackburns is full and has a very nice group of people. Everyday day is a vacation for me as I have chosen where to live and do not find it necessary to roam much and join the crowd but leave it to the people that do. There are a lot of them and that is what keeps us in business. Thank you. I will be back out there when it calms down. I carry my tackle box in my shirt pocket and it takes five minutes to decide if I want to be fishing and be  on the lake. The fishing is good close to Blackburns Creek and I use a tank of gas about every three weeks. Some times I do not start up the big motor.I was putting fish in the trophy pond and saw a young lad about 11 years old with a big fish basket walking up the spillway.  The only thing bigger was the smile on his face and that made it all worth it. Call 1-800-635-0526 for a reservation. Our summer rates are about the same as other's spring rates. Why pay more? The lake is in excellent condition. Mickey Mcgee reports fish coming up early near point 5 in Float Creek. They caught several. Welcome baseball players.
