The surface water temperature is 72 degrees and rising. The lake level is 554.26 and has risen a foot since the rain. They have been running one generator continously and the level is rising slowly. The full moon is on the 21st. We are to get more rain next and then cooler temperatures for the weekend. It was hot yesterday afternoon and continues today with highs near 90. Tom Kelly caught some nice fish yesterday, Bink  took out some of our guests yesterday and caught 30 of assorted speces. Fish are coming up everyday now just before sunrise and it is increasing in duration. I caught a good flathead yesterday. This has been a windy spring but nothing severe. I am surprised how quickly the creeks are clearing after the rain. If you get out early the winds are usually low and they pick up with the heat of the day and then generally diminish about 5 or 6 PM. We have received rain about everytime we needed it but it has come in large amounts of 2-3.5 inches at a time. The lake is in excellent condition. It is a typical May with little extremes. We like that. The pool is filling and will be on line soon. We have made many improvements on it this year. We still have one cabin open for Memorial day. 1-800-635-0526 Why pay more unless you just have too much money? If you do, stay here and give the rest to disabled Veterans.

Norfork Lake is an excellent Smallmouth fishery.
