Tom Kelly with one of several caught last evening in float Creek.
It was nice to have the lake back. I saw so many boats Thursday flying into the creek, slamming down their trolling motors, flipping the beds for bass for a few minutes and slamming their trolling motors back up and flying away. Bed fish are not going to win this thing. Bink caught 30 bass yesterday on a critter bait in the back of creeks working slow and easy. He knows where the fish are and works the same bank for a long time until they bite. The hurrying around will catch active fish but few big ones. You will see a lot of the Elite experts catching their limit but with little weight. I thought many of these guys would be bunched up at 35-40 pounds by now with the smallmouth biting so well during the day. Tom Kelly caught several yesterday in float creek. I went crappie fishing and caught some good ones. The weather is beautiful. Lake conditions are the same with water temperature rising slowly and the level stable. It is amazing how the visibility in the creeks can change daily with little weather change. Joe Cebula just left and we miss him already. Nice fellow. Blackburns was full last night and that is how we like it. People are taking advantage of our low prices on cabins and boat rentals. There is no reason to pay more unless you just have too much money. 1-800-635-0526
