Tom Kelly With One of Several Caught YesterdayImage title

Lake level is 553.25 and dropping slowly with one generator running continuously. The lake is clearing rapidly. I hope it does not clear enough for the tournament coming up to catch fish off the beds. As you know I am not in favor of fishing tournaments during the middle of spring spawn whether the fish are released or not. I fished hard to see if I could find any male crappie on the bank near cover in the backs of the creeks but could not find any. There are some good ones on the brush now but not a lot. Tom Kelly and Paul Ahrens did catch some and so did I. Bass are staging in the creeks and several are shallow under docks. This is not a good time to kill big bass. Let them go at least until after the spawn. They will be post spawn feeding on top water and easily caught then. Norfork Lake has a good natural bass population and we want to keep it that way. They are our staples when the stripers and walleye get scarce. Weather has been cooler than average but the wind is down and it is pleasant. It is a good time of year. 1-800-635-0526 come on down. We will not charge you too much and boat stalls are mostly free. If you do not want to drag your boat we have several to choose from and at low prices. Fully equipped fiberglass bass boats and fishing pontoons.
