Norfork Lake Fishing Report By Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home In the Ozark Mountains (Click Here for Comments)

They run two generators for a couple of hours yesterday and kept the lake from rising. It is 553.60 and stable. I hear people talking about water temperature in the mid 50's but I cannot find any of it. It is 49.8 in Blackburns Creek and I checked three fish finders.   i also hear of a night bite for stripers but cannot find any of that either but I do not go over a mile from Blackburns very much either. Do not need to. When I went out last evening the lake was like glass, not even a ripple. If there were any fish coming up I could have seen them for a mile. I spooned some brush and cast the spoon and a grub and caught some bluegill, bass and small crappie and come in. It seems to take some wind for the big bass to bite. The big schools of shad on the flats by Mallard Point are gone as are the open water fish. When I do catch a white bass eggs are coming out of it. More fish will be moving to the banks very soon with highs in the 60's for the foreseeable future. I am ready. I am ready for baseball season to start too. Fishing is the game. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental is the place. 1-800-635-0526 where you will not pay too much.
