Norfork Lake Fishing Report By Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home In the Ozark Mountains (Click Here for Comments)

I am glad some of these are showing up.  Very GladImage title

They are still not generating anything and the lake is still rising slowly. It is 553.58 and still clearing. it is at a very good level and it would be fine if I did not think we will get a big spring rain. We need more surge capacity. They proved that last year but it did not seem to sink in. This relatively new way of running things is increasing the costs and work for Marina and Dock owners. Now that they figured out how to open and close the flood gates they are using this tool as a crutch. The water going through the flood gates does not power the generators and is a waste of money. I caught some bass yesterday and a few small crappie and that was it. I fished until after dark and could not catch anything on the stick bait. There were no boats out there on the stripers places and I saw no evidence of a night bite. It may be happening other places but not here and this is usually one of the best places. Some fish are starting to bite on the jerk bait during the day and walleye are also starting to show up. I did not catch any but Bink caught two yesterday. Some fish are on 30-ft. brush and some are on the bank. I am using both the grub and spoon but will try the jerk bait later today. Getting excited. It does not take much for me. I just love being outside. I have five more cabins to open up and will wait a bit. I have opened all of them before March 15th before and got tricked. You book them and I will open them. I am very proud to own Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental and will try to keep the prices as low as I can for you. 1-800-635-0526
