Bass Fishing With Bink's Guide Service SaturdayImage title

I went out yesterday and it was perfect. 70 degrees, sunny with light winds. It was good just to be alive and be outside and not cold. Catching fish is just a bonus. Bass fishing is getting better and better and crappie fishing is too but I am still disappointed in the crappie size. They are much smaller than normal and you have to catch several to get a keeper. I am usually catching fish in the 14-16 inch range now, but not this year for some reason. My keepers are in the 11-12 inch range but I am stocking ponds with them anyway. I have not kept any for myself. All of the fish that I am catching are very fat and healthy. The bass fishing has pulled ahead of the open water fish as the best bite. i was told there were fish coming up but i have not seen one. I do not believe much of what I hear from the tackle shop. There were several boats out with a bass tournament. Blackburn's guests won both big fish and total pounds. i did not even know there was a tournament until I saw all of the bass fishermen pounding the banks. That is what you get for just working at the resort and spending time fishing. i seldom even go to town as I am content in my small world. it is not necessary for me to travel to find what i want, it is here. I am blessed and fortunate. Wish you were here. Blackburns still has the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals and everything is ready for your visit.
