We had a great time. Gus has dinner. Rum too.Image titleImage title

They shut off all generators when the level hit 574.75 for about four hours and the level started up again and then they started one and it is dropping very slowly again and is at 554.69. it is scary when I can predict what they are going to do next. I thought there was no rhyme or reason to it for years. They insist on keeping the level too high. It is very frusterating for dock and marina owners. It is fine now but not much room for surge. Fishing is improving steadily every day. I am not going to any sports shows this year as I hit them for 20-years and seem to recognize most everyone coming down ths isle. Most people check the internet for places and pricing before booking anyway. I went fishing last afternoon and tried some open water fishing with Gus. We found them right away and caught some very good hybrids and white bass. They quit about 5:30 PM. I hope the AGFC do not quit stocking Hybrids. They really are fun to catch especially when stripers get scarce. Come to the Striper Club meeting Monday at 7:pm at the Baptist Church on 9th street to hear what game and fish have to say about this. I went with Bink again today bass fishing and had another good time. That boy can bass fish and we both like it. It was in the 70's with light wind until afternoon when the front started to come through. Maybe we will get some rain tonight. We need it badly. With the lake stable it will clear and with a little warmth we should have a good year. Last year was not the best for me.
