The lake level was 553.64 and was up just a bit in the last 24-hours with about 6-hours of generation. The surface water temperature was 51-degrees in the Blackburns Resort area and the water is trying to clear and is not as cloudy as yesterday. It was pleasant out there with beautiful weather but the fishing was not the best. The wind came up just before dark and the fish started biting for abour 20-minutes. It was slow before then. Scuba Steve caught some nice ones. You can catch some good ,ones but it is not easy. Scuba Steve catches fish when nobody else does and will help you. That is what he does. He also ownes the best resort with the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. He took his catch over to Tom Kelly's trophy pond and released them for other people to catch. Tom watched Scuba release them and said people will be happy to catch those giants. That is want we want. Overall the lake is in excellent condition and at a good level but fishing is just fair but some nice ones are being caught everyday. The bluegill have just moved in under Blackburns Resort dock today and that means spring is on the way. They usually do this in March but guess what they bring with them, Catfish and Big Bass that is what. Some Crappie have moved in shallow also. I am always happy to welcome spring. Come on Down to Blackburns and we will not charge you too much. It is nice here and the price is right. Compare prices and Call Debbie at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. We especially welcome Veterans and Police. Scuba Steve is a Veteran but does not require nearly as much Policing as he used to for some reason. We are a no drama resort.
