The lake level is 553.82 and has risen 1-inch in the last 24-hours with intermittant generation about 1/3rd the time. The White River at Newport is 17.96 feet and rising slowly with no effort to drop the lake past the top of the power pool. The water is clearing especially in the creeks and the surface water temperature is 45-degrees and not likely to warm much soon with the coldest air of the season coming the middle of next week. Our normal high is 48-degrees and increasing to the 50's by the end of the month. That would be nice. The lake overall remains in good condition and at a good level for fishing. Scuba Steve goes out most everyday but may not next Wednesday if the weather does what they are predicting. He does like to catch those big Norfork lake Winter Crappie though. Spring top-water bite starts about April 15th and that is an excellent time for a spring fishing trip. Compare prices and give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. Keep watch on Scuba Steve's Blog to be the first to know what is happening on Norfork Lake. A free stall for your boat comes with a cabin rental of two days or more. Come on down. It is nice here and we will not charge you too much.  Scuba Steve will show you where his new brush piles are located.
