The lake level is 554,16 and has dropped 1-3/4 inch in the last 24-hours with one generator runnung continuously since last evening. The surface water temperature is 55-degrees and the water is still stained a little brown but trying to clear with the decreased generation. The level needs to drop about 6 more feet to help prepare for the spring rains but they refuse to do so. The White River at Newport is 8,40 feet and dropping so there is plenty of room to generate. I am catching some nice Crappie and Bass in the evening just before dark on the jig and grub. The wind is from the North now and it is cold but to warm up a bit tomorrow. We are no longer dry and seem to get a rain everytime we need it. The lake oeverall is in good condition and at a good level and Scuba Steve's Brush Piles are at the right depth again. Live minnows are also working for Crappie but fishing is just fair.
