Norfork Lake Condition Report by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

The lake level is 558.57 and is up 6-1/2 feet in the last 24-hours with 1/2 generator running for about 1-hour. The White River at Newport is 3.50 feet and very low. They just refuse to let any water out and could slow this way down if they wanted to by generating. It will rise to way past 560 if they don't. It is rising at a rate of 5-inches/hour now. We received 2-inches more rain last night for a total of 8.6 inches in just over 2-days. It is still raining and the creeks are running hard. The surface water temperature is 68-degrees. Some debris should start showing up in the Cranfield area soon but the lack of water release is slowing it down. I will check it out after I vote. It is like the Corps of Engineers are asleep at the wheel and I wish I could vote them out. The White River at Newport is 3.50 feet and about ready to dry up and we are flooding out. Go figure. They did better when both generators were broken down for 2-years. Maybe they are saving them for a rainy day. I have to go and move my dock again and was just waiting for it to get light. Stay tuned.
