The lake level is 554.97 and is the same as it was at this time yesterday with 1-1/4 generators running for 4-hours. They are scheduled to run both generators for 5-hours starting at 3:PM today and 1-1/4 for 8-hours tomorrow. The White River at Newport is 4.41 feet and very low and the surface water temperature is 78-degrees. The water clarity is good and clearing after the lake turnover.  We received another 0.6 inches of slow rain last night and today and it is still raining. The weather looks great starting tomorrow and it is to get warm again. Everything is very green here at Blackburns. The Stripers have left the dam area and have moved into the Robinson Point area. White Bass continue to be the best bite and are still partway back in the windblown creeks and biting spoons and anything with a spinner on it but you have to get down to them. Crappie, Bass, some Walleye and Bluegill are on main lake points on brush on the banks that the wind has been blowing into. If you can find a creek facing east check both points going into it.If they have brush they will move from one side to another with the wind. One day it can be full of fish and the next they have packed up and gone but not too far. Blackburns is the home of the $69/day 1-bedroom cabins and a free stall for your boat at our big dock comes with a cabin rental of 2-days or more.Come on down. We will not charge you too much. Call Debbie at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. It is nice here and the price is right.
