Scuba Steve with his best one yesterday diving his brush piles.Yes. He knows where the fish are.
The lake level is 556.61 and is up 11-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running for about 6-hours from 3-8 PM. The White River at Newport is 5.75 feet and still very low. We are back up past the top of the power pool again which is 555.75 and they still refuse to drop the lake. The same generation is scheduled for today. The surface water temperature is 83-degrees and the water remains clear with a pronounced thermocline at 31-feet. The best bite right now is Kentucky bass on brush at 25-30 feet on the small spoon but some Walleye are still biting in 38-ft. of water near the bottom on main lake chunk rocks and brush and some Stripers are still deep in 60+ft. of water at varoius depths. Fishing overall is just fair but a few good ones are being caught every day. There is a top-water bite for Bass some mornings at about 9:AM and again in the evening. We needed the rain and it really greened things up again. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental continues to have the best place and the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks.
