The lake level is 558.91 and has dropped over 5-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously for three days and they have scheduled more to come and predict it will be 555.75 by 13 August. There is no rain in the forecast so they should make it after holding the lake up high all summer for no reason. The White River at Newport is 9.03 feet and still low. The lake remains clear with a surface water temperature of 88-degrees. The ambient temperature is to be in the low to mid 90's for a week with the high getting to 97 on Tuesday. Summer is not over by a long shot. so come on down and visit Norfork lake and Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental before school starts. Both the creeks and main lake are clear with very clear water near the shore. Bink reports catching a lot of fish of different species near the bottom at 38-ft. on his 1/2 ounce white with red eye spoon. Bass are still moving from the brush piles during the day to the bank to feed at dusk and into the night. Some nice Bluegill are between the brush and shore. They are catching some good fish off Blackburns Dock on crickets, worms, live bait and prepared bait. Boating, Fishing, Swimming, and Diving conditions are all excellent.
