Mike Eakle with a nice one yesterday Scuba Diving. Yes we know where they are and will help you when you get here. Image title

The lake level is 561.03 and has dropped 1-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running about 10-hours. The White River at Newport is 11.10 feet and low. They are only scheduled to run one generator today. The surface water temperature is 83-degrees and the thermocline is 29-feet. The water clarity id good for diving. Table Rock is now below the top of the power pool and they continue to hold Norfork way too high for some unknown reason. There is no way they are going to let Branson Landing get high. It is all about the $. There are several fish of different species at or just under the thermocline on main lake points on brush and Stripers are in deeper water on Shad from 45-55 feet of water at various depths but some are near and just off the bottom. Spoons are the best. Some nice fish are being caught. Bass are still coming to the bank to feed at sunset and after dark on saltcraws. I am not finding very many Crappie but run across a small school once in a while. The moon is getting smaller and the Catfishing at night is getting better on live bait. About one out of five Walleye that I am finding are keepers on main lake point brush near the bottom but there are several. The weather looks good for the next few days but there is a good chance of rain this weekend. There is still time to bring the children to Blackburns for a visit before school starts. Blackburns is your family headquarters and has the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals. We have 12-pontoons to rent. Compare prices and give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. It is nice here and we will not charge you too much. Why pay more? Your first boat stall at our dock is free unless you bring the Queen Mary.
