the lake level is 560.32 and has dropped 1-3/4 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running for 11-hours. They just started them up again at 9:AM this morning. The surface water temperature is 87+ degrees and rising with the hot ambient temperatures. There is a thermocline at 26-feet but it starts to get cool at 22-feet and cold at 26. The water is clear down to 16-feet and then clouds up down past 30-ft. Several fish of different species are at 27-feet including Walleye, Bass, Crappie and some White Bass. A good place to start is on main lake points on and around brush. The White River at Newport is 11.82 feet and they are regulating to 12-ft. at all costs. We have received no rain here during the month of June and are now below average yearly rainfall. There is no reason for the area lakes to be this high this time of year. Stripers are in deep water and headed south and deeper every day. They are on main lake points about 40-60 ft. down in 120-ft. of water in the mornings. 40-ft. is a little shallow and 60-is a little deep. Fish are decent sized and from 10-15 lb. Drop the Bink's Many Shad Spoon right on their heads, Snap up a few feet and let fall on slack line. Some Walleye are on flats in 30-ft. of water near the bottom.
