The lake level is 558.93 and is the same as it was at this time yesterday with both generators running for about 4-hours and then nothing for the rest of the day. They are running Bull Shoals hard to get rid of the water coming in from Table Rock. They are making every effort to keep Table Rock at a normal level white letting the other lakes get too high while regulating the White River to 12-feet at Newport. It is 12.59 feet there now. It is all about the $ and keeping Branson Landing from getting too high. A dry summer is all that will save us. Very poor management. They cannot blame too much rain this year as we are only two inches above the yearly average this year. The surface water temperature is 78-degrees and has been stable for several days and the thermocline has dropped to 26-feet and very pronounced. The visibility is about 5-feet and not the best. it is better as you go south. There is a stray log floating out on the lake now and again due to the rising water so watch out while dragging over-weight children around on chaise lounges or ramming jet skis back into protected coves. Fishing is pretty good for June with several species biting daily despite the poor spring top-water bite. Walleye, Bass, crappie, White Bass and catfish are all biting on Main Lake brush at or just below the thermocline. Trollers dragging umbrellas are catching stripers around the 62-bridge and north of Cranfield campground. Overall the lake is in good condition for boating, swimming and fishing.
