Garnet with a nice one yesterday. It is now in Tom Kelly's trophy Pond along with more.
The lake level is 553.63 and still creeping up to the top of the power pool of 553.75 with no dam discharge except for minimum flow. The White River at Newport is 3.55 feet and also low with a little water being released from Bull Shoals. Bull Shoals is 7-feet below power pool and Table Rock is 5-feet below with Norfork remaining at the top. Go figure. It would be nice if Norfork could be 7-feet lower going into the Spring rains. The surface water temperature is 52-degrees and should rise a bit with the warm sunshine today. The clarity is about the same and I can still see my lure down about 6-feet. I saw a couple of other boats out there but not many. The warm sunny day today should bring out more. Blackburns was full last night with people taking advantage of the best prices in the Ozarks but have a couple leaving today so come on down. The weather looks to be highs in the 40's and lows in the high 20's for the next week with not much chance of rain. It should bring out some of the beach people returning from vacations. Blackburns spends all of their money on resort improvements. Stop by and check us out. You will like what you see and when you compare prices you will like that also. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. We have no plans to increase prices again this year. You can get a 2-bedroom deluxe cabin for what others charge for a 1-bedroom duplex cabin here at Blackburns that comes with a free stall for your boat. Others charge for that also. Why pay more unless you just have too much money? If you do stay here and give the difference to disabled Veterans.
