Norfork Lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

I have only one more boat to service and I will be done. This boat is $195/day and $850/week. We do not charge you too much here. Image title

The lake level is 553.26 and has been the same for over a week with no dam discharge except minimum flow. The White River at Newport is 4.64 feet and very low. The surface water temperature is 55.5 degrees and dropping verry slowly. The clarity is also the same and I can see my lure down about 6-feet. The lake is in excellent condition but fishing is only fair. We have been very busy here getting our rental boats ready for spring. People ask me what I do to them to get them ready. I change water pump impellars every two years. Next I drain out lower unit oil and check for milky oil. If it is I change both gaskets on the drain and fill plugs. If it is full of water I change the gaskets and check for leaks in the top and bottom seal. Next I pull off the prop and check for fishing line. This is very important. On 4-strokes I change the oil and filter and spark plugs and add stabilizer the the gas and change fuel filters. On 2-strokes I change the plugs  and add stabilizer to the gas. I like the Lucus gas treatment and add it to my gas everytime I fill them. Theses things will prevent a lot of problems during the busy summer. I put battery tenders on all batteries in the winter. Hope this helps. The Bass Cat Fishing Tournament is on Norfork this year and is the 26and 27th of April. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. Blackburns is the first to fill up so call before you have to pay much more elsewhere. Your first Boat Stall is free here at our dock also. Some charge for it. We do not.
