The lake level is 557.34 and has risen 2-inches with no generation. They are still Running Bull Shoals heavily and the White River at Newport is 11.93 feet and dropping with the reduced Generation on Norfork. The lake is trying to clear and is very clear near the shore on the main lake with some stain in the creeks. The further south you go the clearer it gets until it is too clear for fishing. The surface water temperature is 80-degrees and the weather has been very warm and dry. We have even missed the pop-up afternoon showers. More and more fry are showing up on the brush piles and bass are feeding on them. Other bass are on shad in open water and the stripers are going deeper with the water temperature. The late evening bass bite is best with some still coming up early. Find feeding bass on the surface and stripers will be below them. Bluegill are biting off docks on crickets and White Bass are coming in under lights also on docks after dark with the shad. Some walleye are on main lake points at the thermocline of about 18-feet and others are with the stripers. Gar are everywhere and a nuisance. Catfishing is fair on live bait.
