Norfork Lake Family fun Here at Blackburns
The lake level is 564.90 and has risen 2-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with one generator running 1/3rd the time. There has been no generation since 5-PM last evening. The White River at Newport is 24.91 and dropping. We received 1/2 inch of rain last night and more is coming today with wind and then more on Tuesday. The water is brown about everywhere on the main lake in this area and worse as you go north. The surface water temperature is 54-degrees. Bass fishing is the best bet at this time. Go back in the creeks to get out of the wind and work a single spin or red crawdad colored crankbait or a grub and minnow behind brush piles. It is busy here at Blackburns but the fishing is only fair at best. Easter Egg hunt tomorrow with over 500 eggs and a lot of children.
