Norfork Lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental

The lake level is 563.50 and has risen 8-inches in the last 24-hours and a total of 7.2 feet since the rain on Friday. The are running one generator about 1/2 the time and the White River at Newport is in flood stage at 28.23 feet but has leveled off. Norfork is still raising an inch in about 4-5 hours at this time with one generator running so we are not near crest yet. They are running Table Rock hard to keep it near normal and also have flood gates open and putting a lot of Water into Bull Shoals which is also discharging heavily taking all of the space up in the White River. At least they are letting some water out on Norfork.  The surface water temperature was 52-degrees in the main lake and higher in the creeks with the warmer runoff last evening. There is still debris in the main lake and it is mostly staying in the river channel with the current and heading south but some smaller stuff is blowing with the wind. People caught a few bass yesterday but not many and very few crappie and stripers. Fishing is slow but the creeks are starting to clear and some fish are moving into the creeks.
