Norfork Lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

The lake level is 553.08 and the same as at this time yesterday with 3-4 hours of running both generators. The White River at Newport is 16.42 feet and is fairly high but is not coming from Norfork. The surface water temperature was still 46-degrees when I came in at dark last eveing and the clarity was about the same and I could see my lure down about 4-feet. The back roads are still slick with the sleet packed down but it should start to get better today with above freezing temperatures but freezes up at night with lows in the 20's. At least the wind was calm but it was still cold and I wore all of the clothes that I have. It looks like Sunday and Monday will be the best days to go out. Fishing continues to be slow and I just caught a few crappie with no big ones but in the 12-13 inch range. I released them and came in. We keep getting inquiries about if we are for sale, are we on vacation, are we closed and are we having price increases this year. The answer to all of the above is no. We do not expect you to pay for our vacations and are not raising prices on you. I have no other place that I want to be anyway.  We continue to have the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks while continuing our policy of improvement with out charging too much.  You will like what you see when you get here. Friends do not raise prices on friends. Compare prices and then call Debbie at 870-492-5115 and make your reservation. I am thankful that the ice stayed away and we had no power outages.
