Scuba Steve with his best one yesterday on the grub and minnow.
The lake level is 553.46 and has dropped 1-inch in the last 24-hours with one generator running for about 18-hours and the White River at Newport is 11.78 feet. The surface water temperature was just over 46 when I came in at dark last evening. The water clarity remains about the same and you can see your lure down about 5-feet on the main lake and less in the creeks. The lake overall is in good condition but the fishing is not the best. Try a grub on the inside points near deep water on the bottom for bass and crappie in the late evening on a slip float with minnow on brush or a 2-inch jig. White seems to be the best color. Trolling umbrellas for a temperate bass in the mornings through shad is catching a few. We will see what the snow does to the fishing. It cannot hurt anything. Bass Catters are welcome here at Blackburns and we have the best prices.
