Norfork Lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

The lake level is 553.65 and is the same as it was at this time yesterday at 6:PM when I came in from the lake. They run one generator for a total of about 5-hours and are letting out about as much as is coming in from the river. The surface water temperature was back up to 51-degrees with the warm abient temperatures the last couple of days. There was no wind and it was very pleasant out even if the fishing was not that good. The late evening bite did not happen but I did catch four fish including three nice crappie and a bass in two hours of fishing. It was not easy. I did see a couple of other boats out there but they were moving around a lot. The creeks stained up a little and I could see my lure down about 5-feet on the main lake. Our good striper fishermen left so I cannot give you a report on them but other fish are slow at best but some good ones are being caught every day. Low pressure is moving in tomorrow and we will see what that does to fishing. It cannot hurt anything. It was nice to be out and not have it freezing cold. I did not have any drama, lose any fish or break off anything so it was not very exciting but the fish were nice sized and a very pleasant evening. You probably know this by now but there will be no price increases on anything again this year at Blackburns and my new thin blue line flag is ordered. We do not charge our friends too much. Cabins #12 and #14 are finished with the remodeling and you will like them when you get here. On to the next project to make things better with no increases in price.
