Norfork Lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region fishing report and lake condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

The lake level is 553.61 and has risen just a bit since this time yesterday. The White River at Newport is 10.43 feet and starting to drop again. Surface water temperature was just over 48-degrees this morning and the water remains fairly clear and I could see my lure down about 5-feet. The group from Wisconsin just left this morning and they caught several fish with the most being stripers and crappie. They are good fishermen and women and it did not take them long to figure out how to fish Norfork. Blackburns now has two cabins open so come on down and we will not charge you too much. This is the time of year to watch for price increases. Blackburns will not have any price increases on anything again this year and want our customers to be able to have an affordable vacation without sacraficing any quality. We continue our policy of continued improvement without  increasing prices. We do not expect you to pay for new stuff for ourselves or for our vacations and we suspect that is why we have so many repeat customers. This is my favorite place and I have no reaon to go anywhere else. The new picture windows have arrived for cabin #14, one of our two bedroom deluxes and we hope to have them in this week and then our renovation of both cabins #12 and #14 will be complete. I think you will like them. Friends do not charge friends too much so when things get too high for you give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation or any questions as Blackburns is the first resort to fill up and we do not want you to have to pay a lot more elsewhere. We have had that happen already and they have assured us it will not happen again.  All cabins are individual with no duplexes and all have big covered porches and come with a free stall for your boat. Our boat rental prices are the same also.
