Cabin #12 has 2-bedroms with three beds in one including a queen and a King in the master bedroom and is ready for your visit. $85/day.
The lake level is 552.23 and is the same as it was at this time yesterday with no generation since yesterday afternoon. They just started up part of one generator. The surface water temperature is 56 degrees and is dropping slowly and the water is clearing a bit. You can see your lure down about 5-feet. The White River at Newport is 4.32 feet and there is no effort at a winter drawdown. We could get significant rainfall later this week. The lake overall is in good condition and at a good level but fishing continues to be not the best. Bass fishermen continue to catch the most fish and the open water fish and the crappie are hit and miss. The White Bass are showing up in larger numbers than they have in previous years. That is good because they are the easiest to catch and like Kentucky Bass are the go to fish when the others get lock jaw. If you work the river channel banks just at the first drop-off you will catch some bass on soft plastics on a jig head. They like to be near deep water. It was cold and miserable yesterday with a high of 42 degrees so I did not stay out very long. It is warming up and cloudy with rain for the rest of the week so there will be some fish caught. I go out from about 3PM until dark and am lucky to catch three or four fish and I know where they are but do not know why. There are a lot of bait fish out there but I have seen more in the past. Blackburns still has the best prices in the Ozarks so if you are coming to the area for the holidays come on down. We will not charge you too much.
