The lake level is 565.87 and has dropped 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with one and both generators alternating about 1/2 the time. The surface water temperature is 90-degrees and the water is still fairly clear down to about 12-feet and very cloudy after that. The White River at Newport is being maintained to 14-ft. and is at 13.84 and has not changed for several weeks. Not much has changed with ambient temperatures around 100 degrees with sunshine. This is  Schuler boating weather and they are coming this week. We are always glad to have them. I was looking for a $2,000 live scope for my boat but bought several new air conditioners instead for the cabins. I guess I will have to try and catch fish without it. I filled my car up with gas and paid my electric bill and now have to decide whether to buy food or beer. It is a tough choice but I do not eat much. I have had enough of this inflation and am doing everything to hold prices. Batteries and tires have doubled. At least I do not have to drive to work. Diving conditions have deteriorated and I will see if the visibility has improved since the holiday this afternoon. Bink is still catching some nice fish on his spoon early at first light in 35-50 feet of water and then after sunrise in 60-80-ft. after they go deep. They are with about 4-inch shad. Late evenig bite for Kentucky bass in 12-16 feet of water in the buckbrush is also still producing and crappie, bluegill and catfish are biting off the dock under the light. The lake is in good shape for boating, swimming and fishing. You can go to Blanchard Caverns during the middle of the day to cool off. It is only about 1-hour away and also our pool is very nice.
