Caught on the Bink's Spoon yesterday.
The lake level is 569.47 and has dropped 3-inches in the last 24-hours with about 18-hours of running both generators. The White River at Newport is 14-ft and steady. Norfork is 48% full and the 4-lake system is 49%. Table Rock is below power pool and Bull Shoals is 23-ft. above power pool. Norfork is about 13-ft. above. The surface water temperature is still 87-degrees and has been steady. Water clarity is not as good as it was a month ago and there is the usual mud line just before the thermocline which is about 22-ft. The water is cold at 27-feet and clears up again. The best bite now is spooning for stripers and some bigger walleye on shad in deep water followed by walleye on main lake points in 26-ft. of water. Crappie are under docks in the shade in 30-ft. of water and biting on small spoons and live minnows along with some big bluegill. Some White Bass are on or just around main lake points in 20-ft. of warwe suspended. The lake in general is in excellent condition for boating and swimming. You can swim off our dock in a sheltered cove, off a rental pontoon boat or in our big pool with slide. It is to get very hot this weekend and then cool off a bit next week. Come on down. We will not charge you too much and a free boat stall comes with your cabin. A one bedroom cabin is $90/day or $425/week. Why pay more? Two, three and four bedrooms are priced accordingly and all cabins are individual with no duplexes and all have big covered porches.
