The creeks are also clear and the lake is in excellent condition for swimming and boating. It is to get very hot later this week. Stripers and some walleye are going deeper with the warm water and are being caught in 60-65-ft. of water at various depths on the jigging spoon in the Cranfield area. People dragging umbrellas and live bait through shad are catching some stripers and hybrids. Some fish are still coming up early but mostly small bass. Crappie are being caught off the dock at various times during the day and evening on minnows. One group caught about 15 keepers yesterday. They would quit biting for about two hours and then bite fast for a few minutes. Some larger walleye are with the striers and caught dropping a jigging spoon on their heads.
