The lake level is 570.72 and has risen 3-3/4 inches in the last 24-hours with one generator running for about 8-hours. The White River at Newport is at 22.24 and still dropping steadily. We reveived 1/2 inch of rain last night with a lot of thunder but nothing else. Hail was reports in the Jordan area but most of the rain and storms went north of us. More is coming tomorrow but it looks to be mostly south of here. It was dry and the rain did not hurt anything and greened the grass up which was turning brown. The creeks did not run but the creeks going into the lake are a little more stained this morning. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70's and people were swimming in the lake yesterday. Our big pool with slide is now open and children are in it already. We have our own personal sand beach next to the pool. The morning top-water bite for black bass and temperate bass is the best bite at this time but crappie fishing on brushpiles is not far behind. The full moon is monday and is not helping catfishing any but some are still being caught. The weather has cooled some and is not nearly as warm as it was and is very comfortable with highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's. Our normal high is 76. Come on down. We will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free.
