The lake level is 557.30 and has risen 7-inches in the last 24-hours with generation for about 5-hours. The White River is at 22.46 and is dropping and they are trying to get down to 21-feet. Do not expect very much of a drop in lake levels for some time if any. They are running Table Rock hard with spillway gates open and filling Bull Shoals. The surface water temperature was 58.4 in Blackburns Creek yesterday afternoon and the water is trying to clear. The low generation is not bringing as much debris south from Missouri with the last rain as the one before with much more generation then. There were severe storms north and east of us last evening but none here at Blackburns. There was some very large hail reported in Fulton County and some power outages. I dumped 0.2 inches of rain this morning and it is raining lightly now. River fishermen should not expect any wade fishing anytime soon. A cold front is almost here now and it is very cool with cooler tomorrow with highs in the low 50's after it clears later today. Our normal high is 70 and we get a few of them followed by cold fronts every week. It has been a pattern for several months preventing the water temperature from rishing. Some crappie that are coming in have spawned already and are post-spawn feeding. Several larger bass are back in the creeks but the water is too muddy to see if they are on nests. Crappie are being caught in the creeks now near the bank. Soft plastics like bass assassins and super flukes in the 3-inch range are working. So are paddle-tailed grubs. A 10-lb. catfish was caught off Blackburns Dock yesterday. Top-water bite is sporatic and can happen anytime in the creeks especially after a warm night. Morel Mushrooms are popping up.  Blackburns 20th annual Easter Egg hunt is today and I hope the weather cooperates. We did not have it the last two years because of covid but it will be a big one this year with hundreds of eggs and nice gifts. We like Easter Here at Blackburns and children come from all over for it. Blackburns is the fun place and at the best price.
