The lake level is 555.36 and has dropped 2-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously and three spillway gates opened a little for a period. All of the area lakes are in the flood pool and it will be a while before they are leveled out even if it doesn't rain. The White River at Newport is 22.27 ft. and dropping and they can only keep it at this level until April 15th which is rapidly approaching. The surface water temperature was 55 degrees on the main lake yesterday afternoon and it was a little breezy. The ambient temperature was in the 60's but warmed up about 4:PM for a couple of hours. It was a very nice day. The Pigeon Creek area had brown water with debris and so did north of Cranfield Island and what does not drop out will be here with the high generation and current. At least the lake dropped a little and some of it will stick to the bank on the way unless it rises again. The water was still in good condition in the area around Blackburns and some fish were caught but not a lot with most being bass and crappie.
