The lake level is 555.56 and has risen 6-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. The water is still rising slowly with both generators running. If they shut them off it will continue to rise  steadily until this slug gets through and the water stops running off from the hillsides. We have received about 4-1/2 inches total in the three day event here at Blackburns and the lake has risen a total of 2.6 feet. The surface water temperature is 53 on the main lake and 51+ back in the creek. The brown in the water is clearing rapidly in this area and is now a good color for fishing. I am surprised how quickly it is clearing. It did not affect the main lake much but some will be coming down from Missouri but I hope it settles out by the time it gets to Blackburns and the Mallard Point area. More rain is expected this week but not a lot. It was cold last night with frost and only got up to the early 40's yesterday closing out the month of march. Good riddance and I hope it took the wind with it. It is very busy here at Blackburns with people taking advantage of the best prices on both cabins and rental boats in the area. It is very nice here, The price is right and your first boat stall is free. All cabins are individual with no duplexes and have big covered porches. One bedrooms start at $59/day and the two, three and four bedrooms are priced accordingly. Why pay more?
